ScionScene.net is a part of the media websites of the AS Media Group, LLC. Our parent company also runs AsianScene.com, newAsianScene.com, theHookUPclub.com, and kaSHOWku.com. AS Media Group, LLC was established in 1998 as AsianScene.com Inc. At the time, it was the only website of its kind to cover car shows, models, and the entertainment and lifestyles of Asians worldwide. The site currently has had over 11 million visitors and is still very much involved in the scene.
AS Media Group's founder and CEO, Phil Wong, has been a car enthusiast since the late 80s. He has been very much involved in the import scene since then. He has been credited with helping 90s auto parts giant Super Shops enter the import market as well as producing car shows for both Goodtimes Motorsports and Import Jam. He has built many show winning vehicles and magazine cars with Lexus, Mercedes, Infiniti and other makes. Last year, Phil got into the Scion movement that is sweeping the country, and built the kaSHWOku xB that was an invited feature vehicle at the Official Scion Nights event in 2007.
